3-Alarm Apartment Fire Erupts Near Galleria

HOUSTON -- A three-alarm fire broke out at a Galleria-area apartment complex Tuesday afternoon, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Firefighters were sent to the Yorktown Apartments, 2530 Yorktown near Westheimer Road, at about 4:30 p.m.
Heavy smoke could be seen from the roof of the building.
Fire officials said the blaze began on the third floor and traveled through the walls.
A second and third alarm were pulled for more manpower.
One firefighter was injured after a fall. He was treated at an area hospital. His condition was not released.
There's no word yet on a possible cause of the fire.
