HOUSTON -- A tow truck driver was shot to death as he tried to tow a vehicle that was parked illegally in southwest Houston, police told KPRC Local 2.Houston police said someone approached the 34-year-old driver as he walked to his tow truck in the 7000 block of Hillcroft Street near Bellaire Boulevard at about 5 p.m. Sunday.The driver, whose name was not released, was shot several times and died at the scene, investigators said.Police said the shooter got away in a 2002 to 2005 gray Ford Mustang.Anyone with information is asked to call the Houston Police Department Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
