$50 Stolen In Rosenberg Church Burglary

POSTED: Friday, August 8, 2008

A man is wanted in connection with the burglary of a Rosenberg church, KPRC Local 2 reported Friday.

Rosenberg police said a janitor at the Church of Christ in the 1900 block of Graeber Avenue called them after he noticed several things out of place at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The janitor told police that all of the lights were on and several doors were open. He also noticed that the church's money lock box was not where it should have been.

Church officials said $50 was stolen from the lock box.

Surveillance video showed a man trying to pry open the church's doors and walking from room to room.

The man was described as Hispanic, 17 to 20 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, long plaid shorts and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Rosenberg police at 832-595-3720.
