Man Killed In Grocery Store Parking Lot

HOUSTON -- A man was shot to death in the parking lot of a La Porte grocery store on Friday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Police said witnesses called to report the shooting in the parking lot of the Gerlands store on Spencer Highway near Underwood Road at about 6:40 p.m.

Investigators said one man has been shot four times. He died at the scene. His name was not released.

The suspected shooter was arrested, detectives said. Two others who may have been involved in the killing got away, investigators said.

Police have not released the motive for the killing.
