Highway Reopens After Sticky Spill Cleaned Up

POSTED: Friday, July 18, 2008

A sticky spill in Sugar Land has been cleaned up and a major road has reopened, KPRC Local 2 reported.

An 18-wheeler overturned and spilled molasses on state Highway 6 near the Southwest Freeway at about 4 p.m. Thursday.

Police said the big rig tipped over while trying to make a turn.

Crews worked for hours and got the mess off the road at around midnight.

The driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
