Flasher Exposes Himself To Woman, Child In Store

POSTED: Tuesday, July 15, 2008
UPDATED: 5:47 pm CDT July 15, 2008

Sugar Land police want to find a man who exposed himself to a mother and daughter in a store, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.

Investigators said the man was caught on tape in the act, but they need the public's help to catch him in person.

On June 12, at 11:40 a.m., police said the man walked around Urban Rendezvous, located 2735 Town Center Blvd. North, touching himself and watching customers.

"He was inside the store. He was reportedly acting suspicious by store personnel. He had his hands down by his shirt, tugging on his shirt in a downward fashion," said Sgt. Matt Levan with the Sugar Land Police Department.

Apparently, the shirt was the only thing covering the man in the front.

A woman and her 6-year-old daughter were shopping in the store when the man pulled up his shirt and exposed himself.

"He approached the mother and the child, and exposed himself to both persons," Levan said.

When the two noticed the man, he pulled his shirt down and left the store.

"We would like anyone with information that would lead to the identity of the suspect to contact the Sugar Land Police Department," Levan said.

The flasher was described as a black male with a medium to heavy build, 200 to 250 pounds, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, with short black hair and a light goatee. He was wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477) or the Sugar Land Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 281-275-2500.
