Man Dies While Riding Stolen Motorcycle

POSTED: Monday, June 30, 2008

HOUSTON -- A motorcyclist was killed in a collision near Crosby, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Harris County sheriff's deputies said Philip Martinez tried to pass a vehicle on Bohemian Hall Road near Old Road on Sunday.

Investigators said Martinez hit the back of the vehicle and was thrown off the motorcycle.

Martinez, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene.

Detectives said the 2001 Honda motorcycle Martinez was riding has been reported stolen.
