HPD: Shots Fired At Officers In Patrol Car

HOUSTON -- Someone fired shots at two officers sitting in a patrol car in north Houston late Tuesday, police told KPRC Local 2.

Houston police said shots rang out in the 1500 block of East 31st Street near Avernus Street at about 10:45 p.m.

Investigators have not said how many shots were fired, but neither officer was wounded.

The shooter, whose name has not been released, was taken into custody, detectives said.
