Dickinson Doctor's License Suspended
POSTED: Monday, June 2, 2008
DICKINSON, Texas -- A Dickinson doctor's license was suspended after the Texas Medical Board determined that he presented a continuing threat to public welfare, KPRC Local 2 reported Monday.
Board officials said a panel reviewed five patient records and a transcript during which Dr. Edward Emile Louis, 71, was unable to demonstrate a basic fund of medical knowledge.
The temporary suspension took effect on Wednesday, officials said. The length of the suspension is indefinite.
