HOUSTON -- Houston police searched Tuesday for a suspect who allegedly stole one of their patrol cars, authorities said.
The incident happened at about 11:30 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of Marcolin in northwest Houston.
Investigators told News2Houston that officers attempted to pull the suspect over after noticing that he was driving a stolen car.
The man jumped out of the car and took off running with officers chasing him on foot, authorities said.
Police said that officers lost sight of the suspect in the chase, but then saw him jump into a squad car and take off.
The incident is under investigation.
