Stolen Diesel Fuel Truck Found

POSTED: Thursday, May 8, 2008

A fuel truck that was taken from a driver at gunpoint has been found, KPRC Local 2 reported Thursday.

The Wholesale Petroleum truck was stolen near state Highway 225 at about 3 a.m. Monday. The company said the truck has been returned to its possession.

Driver Bobby Lee Julien said an armed man jumped in the cab of his truck after he got a new load of diesel fuel. Julien said the man told him to drive and he was later dropped off along the Gulf Freeway feeder road near Woodridge Drive.

The company has not said how much of the fuel was stolen. Houston police said it would likely be sold on the black market.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
