A teenager was hospitalized in serious condition after a car hit him while he was riding his bike in a Kingwood neighborhood.
Police said the 15-year-old pulled out in front of a minivan heading down Northpark Drive at around 9:15 p.m. Friday.
According to reports, the driver did not see the bicyclist because of the thick forest along the side of the road and could not stop in time.
When he ran over the victim, police said the teenager's bicycle became wedged underneath the vehicle.
The teen was flown to the hospital in serious condition, but is expected to survive. His name was not immediately released.
