Fire Destroys, Damages Dozens Of Apartments

PASADENA, Texas -- Dozens of units of a Pasadena apartment complex were damaged or destroyed by a massive fire on Friday, KPRC Local 2 reported.The fire broke out at a Compton Apartments in the 400 block of Richey Road at about 5:30 p.m.The American Red Cross helped about 60 families that were displaced.The fire affected more than 100 units in the 600-unit complex. Some of the units sustained water and smoke damage, but many were destroyed.The cause of the two-alarm fire is under investigation.
