Girl Nearly Abducted Walking Home

SUGAR LAND, Texas -- An alert was issued to parents and students after an attempted abduction of a student in Sugar Land, KPRC Local 2 reported Thursday.
Police said a man tried to abduct a 15-year-old girl in the 3000 block of Great Lakes as she walked home shortly after 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to investigators, a man in a pickup truck tried to speak with her. When she refused, he tried to grab her, but she escaped and ran home.
The week before, a man driving a similar truck approached an 11-year-old girl and her 13-year-old brother near the Aquatic Center, located at 4530 Austin Parkway, police said. They were not harmed.
Police described the would-be abductor as a Hispanic man, 25 to 30 years old, 6 feet tall with a slim, muscular build. He has shaved hair on the side of his head with wavy hair on top. He was driving a white Chevrolet S10, single-cab pickup truck with tinted windows.
