Man Accused Of Breaking Into School

HOUSTON -- Police rushed to a west Houston middle school after alarms went off early Tuesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.Spring Branch Independent School District police discovered a burglar inside Spring Forest Middle School shortly before 3 a.m.Officials said they gave the man, believed to be in his 20s, a chance to come out of the school, but he refused. Detectives sent in a K-9 unit to get him out.
The man, whose name was not released, was arrested and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment for dog bites.Investigators said they do not know how the man got into the school or if he took anything.The man's car was searched for evidence.Police said he would be charged with criminal trespassing, but more charges could follow.There were no disruptions for students and teachers when they arrived for classes.
