4 Houston Companies Ranked Best To Work For

HOUSTON -- Four Houston companies were named in Fortune magazines best companies to work for, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.
Methodist Hospital System was ranked No. 10 in the list of 100 companies. It is the highest ranked health care organization in the country and the only one in Texas to make the list.
Methodist was ranked No. 8 in the large company category, No. 3 for hiring minorities and No. 10. for hiring women.
The hospital system, which has more than 10,000 employees, has made the list for the past three years.
David Weekley Homes, a privately held firm with 1,450 employees, was No. 17 on the list.
Houston's Camden Property Trust made the list at No. 50. Camden employees who live in any of the complexes that the company owns get a 20 percent discount on their rent.
EOG Resources, an oil and gas drilling company, came in at No. 64. The company matches employees' charitable contributions up to $60,000 per employee per year.
