HOUSTON -- A driver has been charged in connection with a cab driver's death, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Cab driver Clinton Washington, 43, stopped to help a motorist who had been involved in a wreck on the southbound feeder road of the North Freeway near Werner Street at about 3:10 a.m. Monday.
Investigators said a sport utility vehicle driven by Micaela Elizabeth Liem, 37, hit Washington as he helped the motorist.
Washington died from his injuries at Ben Taub Hospital.
Detectives said officers detected a strong odor of alcohol on Liem's breath. She was arrested and had a mandatory blood draw at a hospital.
Liem was legally intoxicated at the time of the incident, officials said. She has been charged with intoxication manslaughter.
