16,000 Bikes Given Away For Christmas

HOUSTON -- For thousands of children, Christmas came a couple of days early, KPRC Local 2 reported.The nonprofit group, Elves and More, held its annual bike giveaway in 10 neighborhoods around the area on Saturday.Hundreds of volunteers built and loaded 16,000 bikes onto trucks for the big event.
Organizers said the bikes are the only gifts some children will receive this holiday season.
