HOUSTON -- Tips are needed to help solve an attempted robbery and shooting of a customer at a northwest Houston Fiesta store, KPRC Local 2 reported Monday.
An innocent bystander was killed Friday night when the robbers and a store security guard got into a shootout at the store located at 4114 Fulton, officials said.
Janette Dominguez, 68, was standing in the checkout line when she was shot several times by the suspects, police said.
The security guard was wounded but survived. He is hospitalized in stable condition.
Police said they believe Lisbon Wilkins, 27, was one of the Fiesta robbers and he was wounded in the shootout. Investigators said Wilkins initially escaped with two accomplices.
Wilkins' body was found a short time later along a road about 10 miles from the Fiesta store.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
