PASADENA, Texas -- Residents in a Pasadena neighborhood where a homeowner shot and killed two burglary suspects as they left his neighbor's house are pursuing a court order to prevent protests.
On Sunday afternoon, hundreds of people, many from outside the neighborhood, pushed their way into the neighborhood to attend a protest.
Yard signs declaring support for Joe Horn, 61, lined nearby streets where Miguel Antonio DeJesus, 38, and Diego Ortiz, 30, were killed Nov. 14. Horn's supporters parked motorcycles along the block and jeered protesters who called for Horn to be prosecuted.
Pasadena city officials are researching how to ask a judge to block any more protests in the neighborhood.
Community activist Quanell X wants murder charges brought against the homeowner, Joe Horn.
KPRC's legal analyst, Brian Wice, said neighbors might succeed in getting a judge to restrict the time, place, and manner for any future demonstrations.
