Houston Minister Missing Since Monday

By Kym Alvarado-Booth

UPDATED: 6:40 pm CST December 5, 2007

A northeast Houston associate minister remained missing Thursday, but the car he was driving turned up in southwest Houston, KPRC Local 2 reported.

"It doesn't matter whether I got the car back or not. I just want my husband back," said LaTonya Miles, the wife of Chester Miles.

Chester Miles, a 42-year old minister and electrician, was last seen in his Dodge Neon dropping off his daughter at school Monday around 8 a.m. in northeast Houston.

Early Wednesday morning, LaTonya Miles said Constable Precinct 5 Deputies called her to a southwest Houston apartment complex at North Braeswood at Braesmont.

LaTonya Miles said she did not know the two teenagers who were caught in her car, which reeked of marijuana.

"They let one guy go right in front of me, uncuffed him. I think they should've held them especially with my husband missing," she said.

Calls to HPD's missing persons unit went unanswered.

He may have been in the Humble area Monday morning.

Miles was last seen in the 8900 block of Spaulding, wearing jeans and a long-sleeved white shirt. He was driving a Red 2005 Dodge Neon with license plate 229 GNF.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
