POSTED: Friday, November 16, 2007
UPDATED: 2:06 pm CST November 16, 2007

A man is wanted in connection with two bank robberies in northwest Harris County, KPRC Local 2 reported Friday.

FBI officials said the man robbed the Compass Bank in the 15800 block of Champions Forest Drive at about 9:35 a.m. on Oct. 9.

The man waved a gun around and pointed it at the tellers, officials said. He threatened to kill the tellers if he was given "bait money" or dye packs, investigators said.

Officials said tellers complied with the man's demands. He got away in an older-model gray-colored Chevrolet with red and blue stripes.

Investigators said the same man robbed the Compass Bank in the 12500 block of Tomball Parkway at about 10:15 a.m. on Oct. 26.

The man yelled for everyone to get down on the ground and demanded money from the tellers, detectives said.

The man threatened to shoot the tellers if they gave him "bait money," officials said.

Detectives said the man got away in an older-model blue- and silver-colored Chevrolet Suburban.

Officials said the man is black, 20 to 45 years old, 6 feet or taller, 200 to 250 pounds with a muscular build and medium to dark complexion.

A $5,000 reward was offered for information leading to the man's arrest and charging. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
