A teenager who was the focus of an Amber Alert has been found in Mexico, officials told KPRC Local 2 Wednesday.

Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies said Adelene Ruiz, 17, was found in Matamoros, Mexico.

Sheriff's department spokeswoman Terriann Carlson said additional details regarding Ruiz's condition were not available.

Following leads received by detectives, authorities from the Sheriff's Office, FBI, Texas Rangers and Brownsville police had been searching in Mexico for Ruiz and her ex-boyfriend, 19-year-old Charlie Zelaya.

Zelaya was arrested and is in the custody of Matamoros State Police on unknown charges, officials said.

Ruiz disappeared on Halloween.
