Bob Smither, co-founder of the Laura Recovery Center For Missing Children, in Friendswood, created the site in hopes of generating more leads. Smither's own daughter, Laura, went missing for 17 days in April of 1997 before she was found murdered in a field. Smither said the site at www.baby-grace.org has received " a lot of hits" since going online Monday. On Tuesday, investigators looked for possible fingerprints on the plastic box that Baby Grace was found in Oct. 30 after washing ashore in west Galveston Bay. Investigators also said they are focusing on three missing child cases out of Delaware, Ohio, and New York because the missing girls have very similar physical characteristics.Detectives said Baby Grace was white, 2 or 3 years old, 32 to 35 inches tall with wavy, waist-long blond or light brown hair. She was found wearing a flowing pink skirt and a pink or red shirt purchased at Target and white light-up tennis shoes with purple flowers that were purchased at Wal-Mart.Baby Grace could be from another area as Galveston is a popular tourist destination, officials said.Anyone with information about Baby Grace's identity is asked to call the Galveston County Sheriff's Office at 409-766-2222 or 866-248-8477.Crime Stoppers of Galveston has set up a memorial fund to pay for Baby Grace's funeral and collect a reward for tips to help solve the mystery. Anyone wishing to make a donation should call 409-763-TIPS.
