A Web site has been set up to try to discover Baby Grace's true identity, KPRC Local 2 reported Monday.

The site, www.baby-grace.org, has updated information from the Galveston County Sheriff's Department and includes fliers that can be downloaded.

A fisherman found Baby Grace on Oct. 30. She had been wrapped in plastic bags and stuffed inside a utility box, officials said. Investigators said she had suffered multiple skull fractures and had been dead for several weeks.

Detectives said Baby Grace was white, 2 or 3 years old, 32 to 35 inches tall with wavy, waist-long blond or light brown hair. She was found wearing a flowing pink skirt and a pink or red shirt purchased at Target and white light-up tennis shoes with purple flowers that were purchased at Wal-Mart.

Investigators said they have been flooded with tips from around the world. Many people have mentioned a possible connection to Madeline McCann, a 4-year-old British girl who disappeared in Portugal in May. Officials said they have not officially ruled out a connection, but they believe it is unlikely.

Baby Grace could be from another area as Galveston is a popular tourist destination, officials said.

"We know (her family) misses her. We know that you are wondering where she is because you miss her in your heart and we need to hear from you," said Maj. Ray Tuttoilmondo with the Galveston County Sheriff's Office.

"How can you describe the horror that you would feel about something like this? It's unbelievable that someone would even consider it, much less actually doing it," Tiki Island Mayor Charles Everts said.

Anyone with information about Baby Grace's identity is asked to call the Galveston County Sheriff's Office at 409-766-2222 or 866-248-8477.

Crime Stoppers of Galveston has set up a memorial fund to pay for Baby Grace's funeral and collect a reward for tips to help solve the mystery. Anyone wishing to make a donation should call 409-763-TIPS.
