Decomposing Body Found In Home

POSTED: Friday, October 26, 2007

A decomposing body was found in a northeast Houston home on Thursday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

A Harris County Precinct 3 deputy constable went to the home on Valley Wind Drive near Valley Meadow Drive to serve an eviction notice.

The deputy smelled a foul odor, went inside the home and found a 58-year-old woman dead in a pool of blood.

Investigators said the woman had been dead for at least two weeks.

The woman's family had reported her missing, officials said. Her name was not released.

The Harris County Medical Examiner's Office will determine how she died.
