COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- A probation officer has been accused of having sex with a 16-year-old on probation, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.
College Station police said officials with the Brazos County Juvenile Services Office notified them that Sarah Celeste Farmer, 29, had been having a sexual relationship with the teen.
Investigators said the mother of one of the teen's friends reported the relationship.
Farmer was confronted about the allegation and confessed, detectives said.
The teen told police that he had been having sex with Farmer since January. Many of the encounters took place at the teen's home, police said.
Detectives have not said if Farmer was the teen's probation officer.
Farmer turned herself in on Monday on a second-degree felony charge of sexual assault of a child. If convicted, Farmer could face two to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
