Bomb Threat Forces Schools To Evacuate

POSTED: Monday, September 10, 2007

An elementary school and part of an intermediate school were evacuated Monday because of a bomb scare, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Pasadena Independent School District officials said Stuchbery Elementary received a bomb threat on Friday evening. The fire department searched the school and did not find anything, officials said.

A bomb-detecting dog searched the school on Sunday and found an area of concern.

Stuchbery Elementary and part of Thompson Intermediate School were evacuated while the schools were searched again.

Students were kept at Sagemont Church on Monday morning until the schools were deemed safe at about 8:30 a.m.
