HOUSTON -- Stolen jewelry led to the arrest of a man accused of terrorizing a Houston Texan and his family during a home invasion, officials told KPRC Local 2 Saturday.
Terrance Johnson, 27, was caught during a drug bust earlier this week in Houston, according to authorities.
Investigators said Johnson was wearing a watch stolen from Dunta Robinson's Fort Bend County home in the Sienna Plantation subdivision shortly before 8 p.m. on Sept. 1.
During the robbery, Robinson was tied up with duct tape while his girlfriend and two young daughters were forced into a closet.
No one was injured.
Johnson was charged with aggravated robbery. He was placed in the Fort Bend County jail on a $500,000 bond.
A second suspect is still on the loose.
The Houston Texans selected Robinson as the 10th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft and he was named Defensive Rookie of the Year by Pro Football Weekly magazine. He has started as right or left cornerback every game he has played in a Texans uniform as No. 23.
Robinson played college football at the University of South Carolina, where he earned defensive most valuable player honors as a senior.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office at 281-341-4685, or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
