HOUSTON -- A man accused of sexually assaulting a female family member is wanted by police, KPRC Local 2 reported Thursday.

Houston police said David Mena, 30, hurt the girl when she attempted to tell her mother about the attacks, police said.

The girl eventually told her mother, who reported the abuse to police.

Mena was charged with sexual assault of a child in December. Investigators have not been able to locate him to make an arrest.

Officials said his last known address was in the 15100 block of Ridgehollow. Detectives said Mena is likely still in the Houston area.

Mena is Hispanic, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 220 pounds with a medium complexion and black hair.

A $5,000 reward was offered for information leading to Mena's arrest. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
