RICHMOND, Texas -- Investigators asked the public for help identifying a man found dead in a load of coal, KPRC Local 2 reported Wednesday.
Fort Bend County sheriff's deputies said the body was discovered in a load of coal delivered to the W.A. Parish Electric Generating Station on Y.U. Jones Road early Monday.
Investigators said the load was from Coal Creek Mining in Wyoming and was delivered by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train.
The Galveston County Medical Examiner's Office said the man died from blunt force trauma to the head.
The man was white, 25 to 35 years old, 5 feet 1 inch tall, 157 pounds with dark hair. Two of his fingers were painted with blue nail polish. He had a tattoo that read "RUSH" with a circle around it.
Detectives said they do not know when or where the man's body was placed in the load.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office at 281-341-4665 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS.
