UPDATED: 8:49 am CDT August 29, 2007

A man has been accused of lassoing and tying another man to a bush, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Houston police said two men argued about a woman at the Sierra Vista Apartments on El Camino Del Rey Street near Chimney Rock Road at about 2 a.m.

One of the men got a rope and lassoed the other man, police said. The lassoed man was dragged through a parking lot and tied to a bush at a nearby charter school.

A person on his way home found the man tied to the bush, police said.

The victim suffered cuts and severe rope burns. He was treated at the scene.

Investigators looked for the suspect and ended up chasing him on foot for about five minutes. Officers caught up with him and took him into custody.

Police said the suspect faces charges of assault and evading arrest on foot.

Both men were intoxicated, officials said.
