UPDATED: 6:26 pm CDT August 29, 2007

The city of Houston's commitment to reducing preventable crashes caused by motorists running red lights will be heightened with more red-light cameras, officials told KPRC Local 2 Tuesday.

Twenty red-light safety cameras are being added to monitor other approaches at intersections where the cameras are already in use.
