Part Of METRORail Stops For 7 Hours

POSTED: Wednesday, August 22, 2007

METRORail commuters were not able to ride on part of the train's tracks for nearly seven hours, KPRC Local 2 reported.

A 5-mile section was closed from Memorial Hermann Hospital to the downtown transit center from 7:30 p.m. Tuesday until 3 a.m. Wednesday.

METRO officials said there was a problem with a pull box. Crews had to shut down part of the line to make repairs.

Buses were used to shuttle people between the two stops.
