A gun and deputy's badge were stolen during a car burglary in Friendswood, officials told KPRC Local 2 Friday.

The thieves broke into two cars of a reserve deputy with Galveston County Precinct 7. The cars were parked in a driveway in the 900 block of Falling Leaf and were left unlocked, officials said.

A Glock handgun, ammunition, a reserve deputy law enforcement ID card, credit cards and an iPod were stolen.

Police said they have video of the suspects from the home's exterior surveillance cameras and the crooks appear to be in their late teens or early 20s.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Friendswood Police at 281-996-3313.
