Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a cab driver's death, KPRC Local 2 reported Saturday.

Houston police said John S. West, 44, was found dead beside his Yellow Cab in the 1200 block of Maxine Street at about 1:40 a.m. Thursday.

Investigators said he died from a gunshot wound to the head.

West's cab had been ransacked, police said.

Detectives said their investigation led to the arrests of Marchristian Jenon Thomas, 20, and Patrick Dewayne Esters, 22.

Thomas and Esters have been charged with capital murder. Both are being held in the Harris County Jail without bond. They are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
