HOUSTON -- A man led officers on an hour-long chase early Monday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Houston police said an officer tried to stop the man on suspicion of speeding on the Katy Freeway at about 1:40 a.m.
The man refused to stop and led officers through residential neighborhoods along the freeway.
Officers set up spikes on the freeway near North Shepherd Drive. The man hit them and blew out three tires, police said.
The man drove on rims for another 15 minutes until officers boxed him in on Pinemont Drive near Golf Drive.
Police said there was an outstanding warrant for the man's arrest in connection with an armed robbery in Katy.
Investigators said the man's wife and 14-year-old son were inside the car during the chase. They were not injured.
The man's identity was not released. Detectives have not said what charges he may face.
