Police: Woman Robbed In Grocery Store Parking Lot

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas -- A woman was robbed in a grocery store parking lot on Wednesday, officials told KPRC Local 2.
Friendswood police said the 49-year-old was robbed while putting groceries into her car at the HEB in the 700 block of West Parkwood Avenue at about 1:30 p.m.
Investigators said the woman reached to get her purse and found another woman attempting to take it away.
The women struggled briefly, police said. The woman got the victim's purse, jumped into a car and left the parking lot, officials said.
A witness told police that a man was driving the light-colored getaway car.
The woman was white, in her early 20s and about 5 feet 6 inches tall with a medium build. She has light-colored hair and was last seen wearing a light-colored baseball cap, light blue T-shirt and blue jeans.
