Prison Trusty Drowns In Oyster Creek

BRAZORIA COUNTY, Texas -- A prisoner drowned in a Brazoria County creek on Tuesday, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Texas Department of Criminal Justice officials said the trusty was training a dog when he was swept away in the creek near F.M. 655.
A dive team found his body several hours after he disappeared.
The man worked with dogs to track scents of escapees or suspects for law enforcement officials.
He was housed at the Strickland Unit. His identity was not released.
