UPDATED: 2:43 pm CDT May 18, 2007

Phoenix police are asking for the public's help finding two men who assaulted a Circle K security guard using a bottle and a case of Bud Light.

Police said the men entered the store around 3:45 a.m. on March 23 and grabbed four 24-packs of Bud Light from the beer cooler.

When the security guard locked the door and blocked their exit, police said, the men started punching him.

One man pulled two bottles from one of the beer cases and used the bottle to strike the guard in the head, according to police.

He then used the case itself to strike the guard, driving the victim to his knees. While the guard was on the ground, the man struck him again with the case, according to police.

Police said one of the men then pulled out a weapon and pointed it at the security guard.

Surveillance cameras caught the attack on tape.

The men left the store in a dark sport utility vehicle. Police said they took the weapon and three cases of beer with them.

The 54-year-old security guard suffered lacerations on his head that required medical treatment.

The robbers are described as black men between 19 and 21 years old.

The man who struck the security guard with the beer is between 5-feet, 8-inches and 6-feet tall. He has a light complexion, black hair worn in braided cornrows and a tattoo of a cross on his right forearm. He wore a dark-colored short-sleeved shirt with a white long-sleeved shirt underneath, tan shorts and white sneakers.

The other man is also between 5 feet, 8 inches and 6 feet tall. He has a light complexion and black hair worn in braided cornrows. At the time of the robbery, he wore his braids pulled back in a ponytail. He has a tattoo of legs on his arm and was wearing a white T-shirt, black sneakers and white basketball-type shorts with green and black trim. He might also have a light mustache.
