Texas EquuSearch Looks For Boy Missing In Water

POSTED: Thursday, May 10, 2007

Volunteers with Texas EquuSearch planned to search the water Thursday for the body of a 6-year-old boy who drowned near the Texas City Dike, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Officials said they may have picked up an image of Jose Leon's body at the bottom of the bay on Wednesday.

Jose was last seen playing on a piece of concrete in the water on the north side of the dike at about 2:50 p.m. Sunday.

The U.S. Coast Guard and Texas City police searched the water for two days and did not find any sign of him.
