2-Alarm Fire Damages Apartment Building

HOUSTON -- A two-alarm fire damaged a building at a southwest Houston apartment complex on Thursday, KPRC Local 2 reported.The Houston Fire Department responded to the blaze at the complex on Lakeside Estates Drive near Briar Forest Drive at about 11:50 a.m.Firefighters found heavy smoke billowing from an upstairs unit and flames started to shoot out of the roof.A second alarm was called for extra manpower.No injuries were reported.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
