A man who allegedly robbed a bank in northwest Houston is wanted by police, KPRC Local 2 reported Monday.

Houston police investigators released a photo of the man who allegedly robbed the Bank of America located inside the Fiesta grocery store at 1005 Blalock Road at about 6:20 p.m. on Friday.

Investigators said the man entered the store and handed the teller a note that demanded money. The man also claimed to have a bomb.

The teller gave the man the money from her drawer and the robber fled on foot, police said.

Officials described the robber as black, in his late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a muscular build. The man wore a black baseball cap and a polo shirt with khaki shorts.

Anyone with information about the identity of the man is asked to contact the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force at 713-693-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
