Grocery Store Bank Robber Is On The Run

HOUSTON -- A man who allegedly robbed a bank in northwest Houston is wanted by police, KPRC Local 2 reported Monday.Houston police investigators released a photo of the man who allegedly robbed the Bank of America located inside the Fiesta grocery store at 1005 Blalock Road at about 6:20 p.m. on Friday.Investigators said the man entered the store and handed the teller a note that demanded money. The man also claimed to have a bomb.The teller gave the man the money from her drawer and the robber fled on foot, police said.Officials described the robber as black, in his late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a muscular build. The man wore a black baseball cap and a polo shirt with khaki shorts.Anyone with information about the identity of the man is asked to contact the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force at 713-693-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
