Illness Forces Cancellation Of Rascal Flatts' Rodeo Appearance

POSTED: Wednesday, March 14, 2007
UPDATED: 6:50 pm CDT March 14, 2007

Country superstar group Rascal Flatts canceled Wednesday night's concert appearance at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, officials told KPRC Local 2.

Lead singer Gary LeVox had severe bronchitis and could not perform, according to rodeo officials.

Rascal Flatts will be replaced Wednesday by performances by Clay Walker, Joe Nichols and Jack Ingram.

"We hope that our ticket purchasers will enjoy these three great performers," said Skip Wagner, president of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. "It's going to be a disappointment to Rascal Flatts' fans, but their management has been really helpful in finding a combination to fill in for the group tonight."

Show officials also announced the following procedures for those wanting refunds for the Wednesday performance.
  • There will be no refund for season-tickets holders.
  • Unused individual tickets purchased after Jan. 8, 2007, will be refunded at face value if purchased at Ticketmaster outlets or the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Unused tickets are those that have not been scanned to enter Reliant Stadium for the rodeo-concert event on March 14.
  • Unused tickets can be returned to the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo offices beginning Wednesday, March 21, through Monday, April 30, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays or mailed to the following address.
