HOUSTON, Texas -- Bats have been found inside a Klein Independent School District elementary school, KPRC Local 2 reported Friday.
School district officials said the cafeteria at
Lemm Elementary has been sealed off. Students are eating their meals in their classrooms.
No one has been bitten by any of the bats, officials said. Two bats found on Friday were sent for rabies testing as a precaution, officials said.
Officials said the district is working to get rid of the bats and is sealing off any openings the bats may have entered through.
The school sent notes home with students on Friday to let parents know about the situation.
