Deputies: Man Shoots, Kills Wife, Injures Stepdaughter

LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas -- A Liberty County man shot his wife to death and injured his stepdaughter Wednesday afternoon, officials told KPRC Local 2.

Deputies said it happened at the family's home on County Road 2187 near County Road 2185 at abut 2 p.m.

After the man shot his wife and stepdaughter with a rifle, he called 911 and confessed, according to authorities. The daughter's condition was not released.

The couple's 10-year-old son was also in the house. He was not injured.

The man was taken into custody.
