LEAGUE CITY, Texas -- Four children were removed from a League City home after two of them -- both toddlers -- were found naked in a street.
Police said the mother is expected to face child endangerment charges.
All four siblings were taken by Child Protective Services and placed with a family friend.
A passer-by on Tuesday called police after noticing two girls -- 1 and 2 years old -- wandering on Waco Avenue in the rain.
Neither wore any clothes. No adult was nearby.
The older girl was treated for a cut on her hand.
Police later located the family's apartment home, where the children's mother and grandmother were sleeping.
Also at the residence was a 6-month-old girl and a 7-year-old girl.
Sgt. Dan Krieger said the home was filthy and unsafe.
The League City Police Department started a collection to help the girls. Donations can be sent to the following address.
