Naked Children Found Wandering In Street

POSTED: Thursday, December 21, 2006
UPDATED: 11:27 am CST December 21, 2006

Four children were removed from a League City home after two of them -- both toddlers -- were found naked in a street.

Police said the mother is expected to face child endangerment charges.

All four siblings were taken by Child Protective Services and placed with a family friend.

A passer-by on Tuesday called police after noticing two girls -- 1 and 2 years old -- wandering on Waco Avenue in the rain.

Neither wore any clothes. No adult was nearby.

The older girl was treated for a cut on her hand.

Police later located the family's apartment home, where the children's mother and grandmother were sleeping.

Also at the residence was a 6-month-old girl and a 7-year-old girl.

Sgt. Dan Krieger said the home was filthy and unsafe.

The League City Police Department started a collection to help the girls. Donations can be sent to the following address.

    League City Police Department Dispatch
    500 West Walker Street
    League City, TX 77573

For more information about donations, call Officer Sean Arena at 281-332-2566 ext. 885.
