Gun, Ski Caps Found In Car After Chase

POSTED: Tuesday, December 19, 2006

A loaded shotgun, a purse and several ski caps were found in a car after a chase early Tuesday, officials told KPRC Local 2.

Houston police said an officer attempted to pull over a car without lights on South Main Street near Buffalo Speedway at about 12:30 a.m.

Officials said the driver refused to stop and led officers on a short chase that ended on South Main Street near Westridge Street when the men abandoned the car.

Two men ran into an apartment complex, police said. Officers were not able to catch them.

Police said the car may have also been involved in a collision on South Main near the South Loop. There was significant damage to the front and rear of the car.
