HOUSTON -- A police officer's patrol car was rammed under an 18-wheeler after a sport utility vehicle crashed into it, KPRC Local 2 reported.Houston police said the crash happened on the Katy Freeway near Heights Boulevard at about 12:30 a.m. Monday.Officials said the officer stopped the 18-wheeler and his patrol car was hit a few moments after he got out.The patrol car was wedged underneath the back of the truck. The officer jumped out of the way and avoided injury.Police said the driver of the SUV may have been intoxicated. He was transported to Ben Taub Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.The truck driver was not injured.
