HOUSTON -- A group of Kingwood mothers used Halloween to alert others about two sex offenders living in their neighborhood, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.
The women circulated fliers with the offenders' pictures and addresses on them in hopes that trick-or-treaters will stay away from the houses.
They said their biggest concern is that the men will hurt another child.
"Enough is enough and that's my big concern," said a parent who wanted to remain anonymous.
The Mills Branch Village community Web site is also alerting parents. One of the sex offenders has been convicted four times, ranging from indecent exposure to fondling.
"I thought three strikes, you're out. Obviously, the third time is not a charm. He's got to go for the fourth time and he gets a slap on the wrist -- a misdemeanor and I'm concerned about him going further than exposing himself. What if he's going to rape a child next?" another parent said.
Some of the parents said they would post themselves in front of the offenders' homes on Tuesday night to discourage any children from going there to trick-or-treat.
